The struggles of third world countries are a well known crisis to most people, but what to do to help out these countries is much more complicated to understand. I do not claim to have every one of the answers to this multifaceted and complicated topic, although I might have one idea that can help improve the lives of some of these African citizens.

The challenges of these people go far beyond what nearly all of us can even grasp.Most of the time, those that are affected the most are women, children and the elderly. One way that these terrible state of affairs are improving is through trade and in particular fair trade. The policies of Fair trade can bring immense hopefulness to the African people. Such an impact is created because fair trade approaches development as a holistic process. Several Throught the fair trade process, many African people have seen changes that positively affect their day to day lives. Children are able to acquire an education, dietary needs are being met, fundamental healthcare expenses are being covered, hospitals and schools are being constructed, the poor (especially women) are being empowered and are becoming appreciated members of their societies, cultural techniques are being recharged and so much more.
So how does fair trade work? Buyers and producers work directly with each other to build up commercial relations, trust and mutual respect. Both the buyers and the producers adhere to a set of Fair Trade criteria recognized by the International Fair Trade federation. Both the buyer and the producer group agree to encourage human rights, especially those of women, kids and citizens with disabilities. As consumers and producers meet milestones, they are expected to incessantly improve upon these standards. When trade encompasses these practices, the lives of all inhabitants and their communities advance.
Fairtrade is the correct way to shop. It puts a grin on the faces of kids in Africa, and it makes their lives much more endurable.
